Today was shitty.
Just came back from Jelita Coldstorage after ERP. Got Teachers' Day stuff.
AT 12.30am tomorrow, you're suppose to be able to see two moons. Something to do with the alignment of the Moon and Mars. But when I looked up, all I could see are stars! (All I can see are bees! No problem! I mean BIG problem! Haha.) A whole sky of them. More than usual anyway. I really want to see the two moon thing!

NATSU MATSURI!
Carmen, Don, Yong Xiu, Neil, Nicholas Yeo, Rui Xian, Xuan Jin and I went for the Japanese Summer Festival! We took a shuttle bus from EXPO to the Japanese Primary School in Changi. The school is way bigger that ours. The venue was packed with not only Japs but also with people who love the Jap culture just as much. There were rows of stalls selling Japanese food, toys and games. Neil and I wanted Candy Apples cos we saw people walking around eating them. But by the time we found the stall, it was all SOLD OUT! NOOO!!! Carmen, Don, Yong Xiu and Xuan Jin played this fishing game. Haha. Since it was raining, the Mass Dance was held in the Gymnasium instead of the already-decorated-field. Bummer. But it was all good fun and a great experience! We really got a taste of the Japanese lifestyle.
I'll upload the photos and vids next time.
Mug mug mug! Candy apples candy apples candy apples!

I went for ERP (Evening Revision Programme, not Electronic Road Pricing). You just get supervised by two teachers and everyone does their own work in the canteen. No listening music allowed. Full concentration. I did my homework and thats about it. Exposition and Lit. I guess this is the kind of environment I need in order to do my revision. Hmmm. But i'd get more work done if it were longer.

Happy 43rd National Day, Singapore.
Clement, Jon and I leave for Borders at Wheelocks. Nicholas and Jenn were supposed to meet us there. So we eat at Pepper Lunch to buy time. The food there was awwwesommmee *groan* (Jon, Clement and Nick should get what i'm doing. ;D) Haha. We filled up this survey under Alvin's name and all his particulars. Heh. We head to Borders. 15% off all items except on newspapers and magazines or items already on other promotions. We walked around for a really long time. Jenn and Nick were still not there. I bought something and we decided to wait at Burger King.
Jon needed eye drops and this led to his "Harvey Dent impression" where he spreads his eye lids apart exposing more of his eye. It's fugly shit. Yet, he still complains about dry eyes. Retard eh? Jenn and Nick arrive at 4pm. Late.We go to Queensway to get Jon's tennis racket (which he brings around the entire day) restringed. On the way there, Naimah calls and we decide to catch ourselves some NDP fireworks. At Queensway, we split up to look for our seperate stuff. Jon for strings with Clem, Nick for iron-ons for his beaney(?) with Jenn and I and we were keeping an eye out for jerseys. Cos we make a good team. ;) No avail. For all of us.
We go to City Hall to meet Naimah. The train stopped a few times in the tunnels, which freaked us out abit. We even saw policemen at City Hall. But we realised it was caused by the crowd going for NDP. Heh.
Naimah dressed in green and white. Very patriotic Naimah. Haha. We go to Marina Bay, only to be told to return to where we once came as there was no view for fireworks there. So we go back to City Hall and decide if we can see anything from Library @ Esplanade. But then, the underpassage to Esplanade was closed up. So we redirect ourselves to Marina Square. I Love BJ! (and its not Beijing! Haha!) This really cracked us up! Something from New Urban Male.
At Marina Square, we walk around the shopping centre to find a good view of the fireworks. We walked around for so long, we actually gave up and wanted to go eat and miss out on the action. But when we realised that there were people on the roof, seen through the windows in the ceiling in the main hall, we rushed up the escalator. The fireworks had not started yet, thankfully. We kept ourselves busy by taking group shots.
Then, the sky sparks went off. It was really dazzling. Jenn took a video of the whole thing. There was a moment where Naimah and I went "WHOOOOO!!!" at the same time and I jinxed her. Haha. We went down in search of food. Thinking that he fireworks were done. But we heard more distant explosions when we were ALREADY in the shopping centre. Bugger.
There were pillars that were like metallic shiney and we took pictures of our distorted reflections. Jon did more of his "Harvey Dent impressions" and Jenn flashed him in the eye. He winced in pain. Muahahaha! The guys took a picture outside this lingerie shop. Haha. TRIUMPH! Heehee.
We decided on going to get to City Hall to go somewhere else to eat since all the fast and relatively slow food chains were packed with people. Somehow, we got ourselves stuck in this snail paced crowd. Sardine-ning through the two opposite row of shops. It was insane! We formed a human chain, Jon snaking a path through. People who just watched the NDP and shoppers were going in opposite directions. Shoulders rubbing off shoulders. It was frustrating.
We DID manage to get out of the impossible mob and paced to City Hall station after, what seemed like, 40 minutes. Escalators were not functioning due to safety hazards. Crowd subsided, built up again, subsided, built up again. We sang our way through the crowd to hopefully makethe whole thing pass faster. The ticketing gates at City Hall station was blocked by pushy people! ARGH! After quick thinking, we moved up the escalator out of the stuffy station to the cool air-conditioned Raffles City Shopping Centre. We sat ourselves in a corner at the side of the escalator floor. We were exhausted. Jon took a video and said that we were Tsunami survivors stuck in the shopping centre. Haha. We grew delirious and started singing again. Sigh.
We got to our feat at walked around shortly for food, only to be stopped by another decision to go back to City Hall station, thinking that the crowd may have subsided. But no. The same ridiculous mob was still struggling through the ticketing gates. Again led by more quick thinking, we get ourselves to Funan IT mall and caught bus 197 after missing 196 seconds earlier.
The bus took us all straight to Jurong East where we ate Macs for a late dinner. Jon stayed awake throughout the bus ride, he claims that he couldn't sleep. I think different. ;) Some of us hadn't eaten for the entire day. Naimah left while Nick, Jon and I were at the toilet. Apparently she called Jon. I wanted to walk her to the train station. When we got back to Macs, Naimah called Jenn about some guy stalking her. WTH!? Concerned. But she said she lost him in the train and managed to get back home safely. Relieved.
So we ate our fill, I could hardly stuff myself anymore. And so then after, we parted ways. And I arrived home around 12am. Tired, sore but with a sense of achievement and brainloads of unforgettable seconds.

Ate Subway for lunch today with Amanda, Jenn, Umesh and Alex. (Umesh and Alex being Amanda's Dad and Lil' Bro respectively. I write their names cos its easier than saying: "Amanda's Dad" and "Amanda's Bro". Heh.) They were late. Jenn and I had to wait. Haha. Amanda said they ahd problems parking. Umesh said that Amanda was whining about having to walk. Haha. Umesh paid for our meals, AGAIN! Seriously, I feel guilty everytime but I gave up trying to persuade him not to. I guess he thinks he has to since he's the dad. Bugger. Let's just make him happy. :) We talk over lunch. Cheese Steak is gooooood. Jenn tried the Meatballs, my recommendation. Heh. Count on me to claim credit. After lunch, Amanda and her family had to leave. Jenn and I look for handphone pouches and screen protectors. More like me drag Jenn along to look for my stuff. We did stop at Gramophone and some pet store. But we left the pet store real quick due to 2 things:
1) Some prakeet was screeching effing loudly when we were looking at it in the cage.
2) Some caucasian kid brags to us about how his father is going to buy this cute kitty on display (poor kitten. :( ) cos he's got tons of cash and starts to describe how kittens can climb trees.
Yea. Haha.
I decide on getting a screen protector in the end. Got it for $10. Bloody rip off. I forgot to ask for the price BEFORE this cow-eyed shop assistant put in on my phone. It was not in place properly by the way. Paid extra for fucking shitty service. I kept on taking it off and repostioning it. So now i've got some dust stuck at the edges and an air bubble in the bottom left corner. But I like it better because:
a) It's in place. With better skill with what the guy did.
b) I could possibly replace the douchebag at his job and provide friendlier service quality.
c) DIY successed make you feel good.
So yea. Went for tuition after. Serene is in a good mood. Yay! Watched part of Blade Runner before going off. I want to see the rest of it, Serene! :D
So part of Fencing on the Olympic Channel 601. Boring. (Sorry Alvin! Haha) It was Epee. So learn this peeps, fencing is more fun than what is seen on teevee! It's you fencing that is the good time. Not being a spectator.

Flash testing.
WASTED! Haha.
Spot Wally! Spot Nick! Haha. Kimo-Kid(?)! or Beanie Baby! Haha!
The sardines in the between the aisle of shops.
Cheeeesseee! NAIMAH! More interested in fireworks. Heh.
Survivors! Awesomeness!
Nick and Jon were giggling at this. Note the man holding the kid close to his private area. Haha. Pervs!
Upside down. Bouncing on the ceiling.
(BEFORE) Marching Contingent marching accross the road.
(AFTER) Find Wally! Find Jonathan! Haha. Crowded.
Whole road blocked out. No vehicles, no people. Empty. And yet the pavements are packed.
Posing in TRIUMPH! :D
Bleagh.
On the bus 197 to Jurong East from Funan IT mall.

At Jon's house now. It's 9.15am. Nicholas left for BB soccer. Clement is asleep after being drained from a sleepless night of Maple Story. His brains are probably fried. Haha.
Olympics was insane. It took so long till it was Singapore's turn to march out. I can't say that the opening ceremony wasn't impressive, but it doesn't beat the one in Athens'04. There was alot of chinese culture poured into the performances. I would've to say that my favourite parts were the sea of chinese-character-imprinted-blocks that moved like water (there was a person in each box, so the coordination was really good), the fireworks (definitely :D), the ldrum light things were kinda cool, the giant scroll and last but not least, the lighting of the Olympic torch to signal the official start of the Beijing Olympics 2008. But it was kinda draggy.
The Opening Ceremony of Athens'04 is still the best. It's back where it all began, you can't expect it to be shitty or ordinary.

Walked to and ate at Macs around 1am. We slept at 3am (guesstimitaion). Jon slept like a log. Nicholas and I woke up a few times in the night. Jon was like moving around in his sleep. So I could hardly sleep without interruptions. Haha. We three had to share his bed. Clement was on the computer through out.
Going to Queensway and then Borders @ Wheelocks or vice versa. Serene said there was a sale going on at Borders and she checked it out yesterday. I wanna go see if I can get any good deals.

Wesley: [to Sloan] Do you make sweaters, or do you kill people?
