Two Siths duel it out!Cool flashy red lightsabers!
Art Display on the way to the Esplanade. Quite cool. It's a OHP projection of France.
Esplanad Art Display thing. The pillows hanging from the string are suppose to be his teeth. Haha.
Scout Amazing Community Trail Dinner. Little kids in grass skirts dancing on stage.
Cute stuffed cat toys. Action City booth.
Star Wars Quiz. The contestants were dubbed with Star Wars Character names. R2-D2, Master Yoda and Chewbacca (Left to Right). Boy did the Chewbacca guy act like Chewy. Had a good growl too. Master Yoda guy won. Bummer. Was rooting for Chewy.
It's Lord Vader! OHSMOSHMIGOSH! Clone Trooper Pilot stepping off stage.
One of the Cosplayers. Naruto Shippudden(?). I respect them for their courage. I wanna dress up next time.
Went for the Amazing Scout Community Trail on Saturday. We were suppose to go to different specific Community Clubs/Centres. We went from Henry Park to Choa Chu Kang CC to Bukit Panjang CC to Sembawang CC to Chong Pang CC to Thomson CC. We could only take public transport (excluding Taxi rides). Really exhausting.
Comic Con! Met Serene at City Hall MRT. Was 30 minutes late. Sorry Serene! Heehee! The Suntec Centre hall was already packed with people waiting to get in. Serene and I immediately walked to the 501st Legion booth to sign up for the Droid Hunt (from 1-2pm). We were the first to register. Heh. Walked around. It was like Geek Central. Lots of people. We went to this toy booth where they sold figurines at really reasonable prices. Found a diecast figurine of the whatyoucallit space ship (appeared in Star Wars epidsode 2 and 3). Serene wanted a Millenium Falcon and by a stroke of luck, I found it burried deeper inside the box. Who's da man? Haha. Walked around some more. Lot's of really cool booths. Then we left cos claustrophobia was getting to us. Went to eat at Food Junction downstairs then went back to the convention for the Droid Hunt. Serene and I were already looking out for the Clone Troopers at 12.45pm. Haha. Eager Beavers. We walked around and found them begining to do their rounds at the right of the stage. YAY! There was this commander in black who yelled: "There! The boy in orange!" (cos I was wearing the tag and the orange shirt I always wear, which stood out more than what Serene wore so we decided I wear the tag.) I was like frozen. Haha. Couldn't do nothing but smile. Serene took over and said "They're up for sale if you want them." When the Clone Trooper asked "How long have you had these droids?" (Lines from Star Wars: A New Hope). Still think Serene should've did the Obi Wan line where she ways her hand and says "These are not the droids you're looking for." as if she were using the force to change the Clone Trooper's mind. Heh. But she was afraid he'll act along and walk away all persuaded as if she did use the force. Haha. We got a ticket in exchange for the tag. Went to the 501st Legion booth and won ourselves a neat Luke Skywalker lightsaber. I let Serene have it cos she seemed to really want it. We watched the Star Wars Quiz. It was pretty funny. The Chewbacca guy was the contestant of the day, even though R2-D2 girl seemed like the bigger Star Wars enthusiast. Master Yoda dude was just cocky. But he won the Clone Trooper helmet. Bummer. I'll upload the video of the whole quiz on YouTube next time. We got ourselves StikFas figurines! I bought the one that was purple and green. Wanted to make to Joker-ey. It's my first StikFas! Serene got the one with the female lion tamer. She wanted the whip and hat to have and Indy thing. We left for the Esplanade Library before going DVD shopping.
Watching Pushing Daisies now. Pretty packed day and i've yet to complete my weekend homework. But Pushing Daisies comes first. Heh. ;D

I love Scrubs. This was the most depressing episode of Season 3. Dr Cox couldn't get over the death of his best friend, who's also his brother-in-law, that he still kept seeing him around the hospital. A touching episode that you should watch. We need more Scrubs fans! Go Pushing Daisies too! Haha.
This is where I got my blog song from.
HILARIOUS! Turk loses his baby son but replaces him with a pumpkin! Wait for the whacky tragedy at the end of the video!

Guys, there's July, August, September then October. Freaking out yet? And we still have yet to complete our syllabus. God help us.
The start of school was fun but it also signals the coming work load. Urgh.
Okay. Just 3 months. 3 months. 3 months.
I gotta psych myself to study.
Study. 3 months. Study. 3 months. Study 3 months. 3 months study. This is really painful.

This vid is damn gay and funny! This two guys mouthing out the song Circle Circle Dot Dot. Watch!

Here's another one by the same two guys. But this songs is called Cereal and Milk. I've never heard of it, but after watching this, I hope i'll never have to again. Haha.

Good Morning, starshine! The earth says hello!
I'm feeling better than the past 2-3 days. But the sore throat's still there. I've been taking "Pei Pa Gao" but for the whole of yesterday, i've been calling it "Mo Pi Gao" unintentionally. I just can't remember all those long Chinese names. I've also been taking Strepsils with Honey & Lemon.
Tomorrow's the last day of the June Hols and it struck me that I still have yet to start, let alone complete, my Holiday Assignments. (Whenever I think of the word "Assignements", School of Rock just comes to mind and it makes me wanna go "KICK SOME ASS!". Get it? "Dewey Finn: And today's assignment in class...
Alicia, Marta, Tomika: ...kick some ass! ") ARGH. I'll do some today. Maybe Bio and English and i'll leave SS, Chem and whatothersubjectsthatIdon'treallylike for tomorrow.
CLOVERFIELD DVD IS OUT! Jonathan has seen it and even though it was pirated but he told me it was awesome through an unexpected sms so I forgave him. Heh. XD But it's stupid cos Cloverfield is a video recording movie and watching it pirated is like watching a video recording of a video movie. So quality check! But I don't wanna get the ones selling now cos i've seen on the web that there's this metal casing one that looks awesome! (Refer to picture above) But I guess its gonna cost hell. I'll just wait and see if it's sold in Singapore. If not, i'll just check on Amazon.com (God Bless International Online Shopping/Shipping). But if it's got less special features than the normal one, then I mine as well just try to get the edition with the MOST special features.
Alrighty then. I gotta go for my Scout Meeting. See You Later Alligator! (Phrase on Wheel of Fortune, category "Rhyme Time". The one I watched yesterday on the telly.)

Good news and bad news!
The good news is that my entire body doesn't feel sore and warm as much as before! Yay!
The bad news is, I got a sore throat and high fever right after the aches and warmness subsided. It's like WTH?
I'm eating this porridge that looks like muddy water with sediments. Why does it look muddy you ask? Well, cos its cooked with brown rice! Exactly! My mum decided a month ago that the entire family survive on brown rice rather than white rice cos not only does brown rice have the same amount of carbohydrates as white rice, it also has other gawdknowswhat nutrients that makes it waaay healthier. Don't get me wrong, i'm okay with the whole change in diet thing. But NEVER cook brown rice porridge. It looks gross.
I've got this Amazing Trail '08 Scout Meeting tomorrow. Hope I feel well enough to attend it. May also go see the doctor. Haha. Funny, cos I told Nicholas C. I had it "all under control".
Oh I also want to add that i stood Amanda, Hui Xian, Nicholas and Carol up yesterday morning. We were supposed to have breakfast at West Coast McDonalds but I didn't quite have the strength to even get off the bed till in the afternoon. Sorry peeps.
I really hope this blasted fever clears when Term 3 lessons begin.
Ooo! Ooo! Singapore's First Toy and Comic Convention begins 27-29th June at Suntec City! AAAAAHHHH!!! I'm going with Serene and Winona next Sunday and maybe Jessie will come. I'm NOT missing this for the world. So excited! It's like a event to celebrate Geekdom! But I better brush up on my Geektology. Don't want to look bad in front of the other Geeks. =/ (I thought Cate Blanchett played Eowyn, niece of the King of Rohan, but she was in fact Galadriel, Queen of the Elves) Argh! I should at least try to focus on a certain subject of Geektology.
Oh, I realised that through out the ENTIRE holiday, I did not study at all. Which kinda pisses me off cos I was all motivated to work hard through the June Hols but DANMMIT! Complancency got me again! I feel like shit now, and its not just the because of the fever.

Jenn! This should be around my 300th, or slightly more, post as well! Haha. 36 more days till my blog becomes 2 years old!
Having a really bad fever. Its the one where you can't perspire and all the heat is stuck in your body cos you can't lose it through perspiration. And my nose is kinda clogged and warm. My joints are aching slightly as well. Couldn't sleep at all last night. Kept shuffling in my sheets. Took a cold shower (not like i can choose, the water heater's spoilt). Felt better but it was short lived. Had to force myself to stay under a blanket this afternoon to sweat it out. Felt better after. I've had this kind of fever before. You'll feel like shit. I think it must have been the lack of sleep at the "Pop-Sical" band performance and the other straineous activites before that and after.
Sorry Jon! I can't go play tennis with you guys cos of this blasted fever! =(

Mmm! Yummy breakfast!
The TSMB and SL Band joined concert, otherwise known as Pop-Sical, was pretty entertaining. Amanda, Jennifer, Carol, Clement, Naimah, Si Min, Nicholas C. and I were there supporting our favoured TSMB members. During the interval, we had this crazy idea to get them flowers. The florist opposite school was for lease, so Clement, Nicholas and I ran to opposite Ginza to buy sunflowers. We managed to find one, thankfully, in the market and they sold red and pink sunflowers at 70 cents a stalk. Pretty good deal. We ran back and just in time for the last performance. We were all crazy, cheering, singing and dancing. We gave them the flowers when the performance ended. It was fun. =) Amanda has lots of whacky photos. She'll be posting them.

Ms Portia Tan allowed Nicholas, Clement and I to stay over with the band members (their final night of Band Camp). While sending Carol, Naimah and Jennifer off at the busstop accross school, we saw Jin (coming back from tennis). Somehow, we got him into wanting to sleepover with us. We TRIED to do some homework, but no avail. Our sleeping quarters was at the AVA room. I slept at 1am, with much difficulty with the hard floor as my bed and a thin wet towel as a blanket in the air-conditioned room. Woke up around 3am by giggling. A band alumni and a band member were having a kick taking photos of sleeping juniors. I woke up just in time cos Jon, Clement, Nicholas and Jin ordered Macs and it had just arrived. Yay! I ate Nicholas's Double Cheese Burger cos he ordered a McChicken as well. Thanks bro! When we had finished eating, Jin, Nicholas and I stuffed all the rubbish back into those neat brown McDonalds paperbags. Making it look like a fresh delivery. Our scheme was set into motion. We wanted to disguise the rubbish as just delivered breakfast for the sleeping campers. And we wanted to see Wei Kai's reaction when he realises it was a trick. In all the excitement, our imagination of his reaction was kinda exaggerated. We thought he'd be swearing and throwing the rubbish all around in anger and frustration when he realises it was a trick and there was no Macs for breakfast. Heehee! Must've also been all that sugar and the wee hours of the morning. We all slept (again, for me) at 5am. Woke up around 7.41am. We managed to wash up and change in time.
The SS "Camp" was kinda fun. And I would have to say that I did learn stuff. The memorizing skills thing was kinda a bore, except for those funny moments where our schoolmates would go up and impress us with their answers. Haha. The Army Museum was kewl! Didn't expect it to be so modern, let alone be next to the Discovery Centre! (I keep saying Discovery Channel! =P) Amanda, Jenn, Si Min and Charmaine were being cam whores! Haha. We played lots of group games like Go-Back-Jump, Super Speed Please Can You Follow Me (the ORIGINAL chinese translation), Chop Cheelee Chop Chop(?) and Bachelor. Fun Fun Fun! We stayed back in the school canteen to play more. It was insane. Laughing like mad. At least some parts of the June Hols was a blast. Wish these times would come more often!

กลัว - Nologo
Not really into Thai songs, but i like this one and the music vid. =P

I went out to JE today. Met Naimah, Gina and Nicholas C. at the library. We were there on a mission:
1. To do some TOP SECRET stuff.
2. To cut my hair.
Simin met us at Long John's later. She came to help me with my hair cut.
It was pretty tiring. We took the bus to IMM from JEC, then walked back, then walked back then walked back. Something hilarious happened at Minitoons. There was this Cookie Monster stuff toy sitting on the top shelf, one of those big round hard-eyed ones. Naimah wanted to give it a hug. So i tugged the toy at the leg an it fell off without trouble. Naimah was all excited and had stretched out her arms to catch the falling toy. She said: "Baby!" in this act cute tone. She caught the toy but its head prodded forward and the hard white Cookie Monster eye balls hit her on the head! HAHA! She was squinting in pain, going "Ow!". Nicholas and I were too preoccupied laughing at her. LOL. That brightened up my day Naimah! Thanks! HAHA!

Back from SC Camp '08. It was different from the previous SC Camps cos this one was not organised by us but by some Leadership building organisation thing. Although we did have some monotonous lectures (not saying that they didn't help), there were fun activities as well. We did dragon-boating and it was AWWWEESSOOOMMMEE! We were having like water wars. Everytime another dragon boat came by (by people we know), we would start splashing water at them with our pedals. We were soaked. Everything else was fun. On the last day (today), the sec 3 Student Councillors. They planned out an Amazing Race, but last minute, Serene, Mei Yern, Shu Han and I had to go for Chemistry. We had to file our practical worksheets and we missed the whole race. Dammit! I was really looking forward to the Amazing Race as it was the highlight of the whole camp, apart from the dragon boating. It was damn annoying. But overall, this camp was pretty beneficial and its just the thing that the Student Council needs. And we're more confident now on making change.

Went to watch Kung Fu Panda with Amanda, Jin and Huggy(?) today at West Mall. It's a really awesome movie! Its just such idon'tknowhowtodescribeit! The cinematography is like WOAH! for an animation. It has substance. It's so good. Good substance. But we kinda missed the first few bits cos of a delay. But hey, i'm not angry about it. I don't mind getting the dvd. Depending on the special features.
Good honest chats! I'm going to have good honest chats!
Watched Teeth yesterday. It's about this girl with a mutation called vagina dentata. You'll figure it out. It's freaky. Gives me second thoughts about even having sex. NOT that i do have thoughts have having sex. There's not much female nudity, so thats okay. But there are alot of half 'bitten' ahems in the show. Quite gory in SOME regions of the body. But otherwise, this movie is just for a good scare but not one to be seen in theatres.
Planning on changing my blog song. Will do soon.
So much homework! So little time.
SC Camp is tomorrow. Hmm...

PUSHING DAISIES! Now on Channel 5 every Sunday at 10.30pm.

Could possibly be my next favourite sitcom! :D

Wednesday, June 04, 2008

Its the Book Fairy! Haha. This picture was taken earlier last month. We went to JP for (Daniel's) present shopping. Got distracted by the Speedy merchandise at Toys'r'us. Went to the library after to borrow a Philip Pullman book. Another day remembered, another day well spent. En't that right, Naimah?
Basketball Bonanza! Alvin's squished between the bench and the fence, and Carol isn't exactly giving him a helping hand! Haha. I love basketball. It was the rest versus Jin, Nick C., Tony and Clement. And, HELL!, basketball IS for tall people! Haha. But had loads of fun and honeydew! Haha.

The Call- Regina Spektor
POTENTIAL SPOILER OF THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA PRINCE CASPIAN's ENDING!

Sunday, June 01, 2008

Saturday
Didn't have much to do the entire afternoon after morning tuition. Organised a last minute gathering at JE. Met Clement and Nicholas Chung at JE Library. Did some of my Math tuition homework. Jon came later after his guitar lessons. Kinda got hooked to Nick's PSP Gundam game. Its cool stuff. I got the hang of it pretty quick unlike a certain someone in our class. *wink wink* Haha. Jon, Clement and Nick will know who i'm talking about. ;D We decided to watch Prince Caspian upon impulse. I wanted to get the free notebook. We didn't buy the tickets yet cos Jona and Nick went to withdraw money, and when they came back we just forgot about purchasing the tickets and went to play some arcade. Played Daytona USA. Its this really fun racing game at an affordable price! Amanda, Nick, Jon and I played like 3 rounds of it. First round i got 4th, then 3rd and then 2nd. I influenced Amanda to do the grinding technique where you slam your opponents car to the rail and they crash. Heh heh heh. Amanda was more set on steering anyone beside her off course. She struggled with Jon and my steering wheels, during the race. That dirty driver! Get you weak show off my track! We went to buy the tickets but the notebook was sold out! That's not fair! It's all Jon's fault cos he took so long withdrawing his cash. Went to eat at Long John Silver's and we found this purple purse on the seat. We searched it but there was no way of contacting the owner. We walked around to see if we could find anyone that looked like her but no avail. Watched the movie. Amanda watched Indy IV with her dad and brother. They kept the purse too and drove to the owner's place after their movie. All the way to Choa Chu Kang. Stayed over and Grands after.
