SUBJECT: CORN.
Corn, otherwise known as Maize, is largely consumed in our world. I dont know the exact history or biological features of Maize but this is from my point of view. Corn is weird. If you steam it, it beomes soft and slighty chewy, which makes it so delicious to eat. You can also add butter or salt to give it more flavour. It is delicious and supposedly healthy. But corn cannot be digested and passes through our Ailmentary Canal. I thinks its considered a 'fibre'. If you roast or dry heat corn up, it 'POPS!' into this white light fluffy looking... erm... thing. Which is really weird! The Americans call it 'popcorn'. Funny, huh? When you eat it, it kinda melts in your mouth and is slightly chewy as well. You can eat truck loads of it but the only reason that stops you from continue eating is cause you get sick of it, not because you're full. Thats why, they sell popcorn mostly at cinemas as you can eat it while watching a moive. You can add things to popcorn as well! You can sweeten it by coating it with sugar, honey or maple syrup. Or you can make it salty with butter or salt. Who knows what popcorn might turn into in the future, but lets hope it remains as our favourite movie snack!
